THE WINE
Notes of black cherry and fig on the nose, accompanied by flavors of
mocha and toasted nuts. Hints of graham cracker and chocolate
covered berries. Medium bodied and balanced acidity with a smooth
finish.
THE VINEYARDS
The fruit for our Old Soul wine is sourced entirely from our sustainably
farmed, family-owned estate vineyards in Lodi, CA. Lodi enjoys warm
days and cool nights which allows the grapes to fully ripen while
maintaining their natural acidity.
THE VINTAGE
The 2022 season was not without challenges. Variable spring weather
affected sensitive varieties, but yields were about average. Harvest
was punctuated by an extended heat wave in early September, leading
to a scramble to get fruit off the vine. Regardless, fruit quality looks
exceptional, with added complexity and intensity.
